The rise was partly due to september having an extra working day and represents the highest monthly toll collection since the introduction of electronic tolling in 2007

For the first three quarters of 2025, toll revenue exceeded CZK 14.359 billion (c. £502 million), a 12 % increase compared with the same period last year. Over 53 % of this amount was paid by foreign carriers.

Since january, 89 % of tolls have been collected from motorways, with the remaining 11 % coming from 1st category roads.

“The audited effectiveness of toll prescription, a key measure of system efficiency, reached 99.9 % on motorways and 99.7 % on 1st category roads from january through august,” said Petr Chvátal, CzechToll CEO.

“These results far exceed contractual requirements and demonstrate the reliability of our electronic toll system.”

As of the end of september, 919,000 vehicles over 3.5 tons were registered in the electronic toll system, including over 732,000 foreign‑registered vehicles.

CzechToll issued 670,000 on-board units to carriers for the registered vehicles, supporting efficient and accurate toll collection across the network.
