Transform declining gas tax revenues into sustainable infrastructure funding at the Road Pricing Summit in Miami this September!
Akabo Media – publisher of City Transport & Traffic Innovation Magazine – has confirmed that its flagship US conference on road funding and tolling innovation will return to Miami, Florida on 18-19 September 2025 as the Road Pricing Summit.

“The Road Pricing Summit speaks more clearly to the diverse range of funding tools now being explored and implemented across the Americas,” said John Thornton, editor-in-chief at Akabo Media, and chair of the event.

“Our goal is to bring together the right people – from public agencies, industry and research – to address the urgent questions around how to pay for roads in a way that is fair, effective and future-ready.”

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Adrian Moore, Vice President of Policy, Reason Foundation
  • Carlos M Braceras, P.E., Executive Director, Utah Department of Transportation
  • Christian Schonlau, CFO, RTC Washoe County
  • Jack Opiola, US Transportation Expert
  • Jay Starling, Programs Director, International Registration Plan, Inc.
  • Marcy Coleman, Vehicle Program Manager, American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators
  • Renae Reynolds, Executive Director, Tri-State Transportation Campaign
  • Rick Geddes, Founding Director, Cornell Program in Infrastructure Policy

This year’s agenda features updates on New York City’s congestion pricing rollout, insights from Utah DOT and a policy panel exploring whether mileage fees are truly user-pays or simply another form of tax.

Other sessions will explore blockchain in toll collection, freight RUC pilots, dynamic pricing, legal developments, and cross-border toll harmonisation.

Registration is now open with limited-time early bird offers available until 31 July 2025:

  • Public sector delegates can register free of charge
  • Private sector delegates can attend for a reduced fee of US$1,100
