Transurban updates toll rates across Australian CityLink network

Transurban updates toll rates across Australian CityLink network
CityLink toll rates on Melbourne’s network will change from 1 October 2025 as part of the regular quarterly review.

CityLink is a network of tollways in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, linking the Tullamarine, West Gate and Monash Freeways.

Transurban, the current toll operator of CityLink toll network, announced via its Australian e-TAG tolling brand Linkt that the updated charges will apply for the period October to December 2025 and are inclusive of GST.

It stated that these adjustments are necessary to ensure the continued funding of maintenance, operations, and infrastructure improvements across the network.

From 1 October, motorists will see new toll prices across key sections including the Bolte Bridge, Domain Tunnel, and the Tullamarine Freeway link.

The revised rates reflect increases in operational costs, ongoing upkeep, and investment in infrastructure.

Linkt and CityLink stress that such periodic changes are essential to maintain the reliability, safety, and quality of Melbourne’s toll road network, as well as to support upgrades and expansions while aligning with inflation and other rising costs.

All users travelling on CityLink after this date will be charged according to the updated schedule.

Motorists are encouraged to review the new tolls in advance to understand how their regular trips may be affected.

Updated toll calculators and trip-cost estimators will be made available on the Linkt website to help customers plan ahead.
