In the past seven years many automotive OEMs have announced they are working on automated vehicles. While we are not yet at the question how to charge a driverless vehicle, in 2020 the first legislation on partial automated driving on highways was adopted. This could mean that toll charging road operators will have automated driving on their roads. This presentation will introduce:

• The still open issues
• The effects it may have on EU highways
