Biography

 

Lucy leads the Mobility Management (MM) Network at C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group as interim programme manager. Through the MM Network, she has supported a cohort of global cities in delivering strategies and measures to help increase, integrate and influence the choices of travel mode available to citizens, and ultimately to encourage the adoption of more climate-smart mobility options.
Lucy joins C40 on secondment from Transport for London where she has worked in Road Safety Strategy, Public Transport Strategy, and is currently seconded from the Road Strategy and Freight team. This team leads the thinking on the future of London’s streets to reflect the Mayor’s Transport Strategy including the strategic approach to traffic reduction, managing freight and reducing road danger. 
Previously to TfL, Lucy read Geography and the Environment for her D.Phil. at the University of Oxford. She was based in the Oxford University Centre for the Environment within the Transport Studies Unit (TSU) and the Environmental Change Institute (ECI). Her research interests include: the geographies of wellbeing, behavioural science, active and sustainable mobilities, and the interconnections between cities, societies and place.
