Keith Mortimer has worked in close contact with a wide range of people and business cultures to establish and operate technology-based, globally diverse business streams in management positions to CEO level. He takes a strong interest in the social, economic and environmental impact that the application of ITS technologies can make on our lives. Knowledge of transport technologies is combined with experience in industry of business and project management, and understanding of customer needs in creating sustainable and cost-effective solutions.

Keith is the founder and Director of Wyeval Consulting, an independent ITS consultancy founded through experience of team working with a mission to promote the application of technologies to benefit traffic and transport, safety and the environment. Working with clients on ITS based programmes in UK, Europe and North America, current interests include tolling system proposals, evaluation and audit; location based payment applications; driver monitoring and automated emergency call; improved driver services; vehicle detection and safety systems.

He is an active supporter of ITS (UK) and the Chairman of the ITS UK Road User Charging Interest Group, organizing regular meetings with colleagues to provide a ‘best practice’ forum and a networking group with global outreach.

With a career background in high-integrity electronics products and systems, during 2006 – 2010 Keith was UK Director and Chief Executive for the tolling technology supplier Efkon. Previously he developed ITS sector business for the respected systems and software consultant SEA, based in Bristol.

From Wyeval’s base in (of course) the Wye Valley, South Wales, end-to-end experience helps in building industry partnerships; requirements capture, analysis and auditing for ITS technology projects and products; proposal preparation and evaluation; market analysis and positioning; contract responses, negotiation and management.
