Biography

 

 

Ken Buckeye is the Pricing Program Manager in the Office of Financial Management at the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).  Ken has more than 25 years of experience in transportation planning and project management covering nearly all modes of travel.  His work at MnDOT focuses on transportation and economic development, return-on-investment analysis, and benchmarking needs for the state’s transportation system.  Ken has led MnDOT in the exploration and development of road pricing alternatives as a means to optimize system performance, manage demand and to help finance transportation systems.  He is currently manager for the Distance Based User Fee Demonstration in Minnesota which is testing an innovative approach to road user charges through the mobility as a service platform. Ken has a BA in Urban Affairs and Business Management from St. Cloud State University and a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from Southern Illinois University.
