Hilary is Vice President of Technology, Innovation, and Mobility Policy at the Alliance for Automotive Innovation - the singular, authoritative, and respected voice of the automotive industry. In this position, Hilary oversees policy development and strategy on technology and future mobility issues, including regulation of connected and automated vehicles, data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications.
Hilary is a recognized thought leader and frequent public speaker on policy issues impacting automotive technology and the future of mobility. In June of 2020, Hilary was recognized as a Rising Star in the automotive industry by Automotive News for her work at the forefront of emerging technology policy.
Prior to joining the Alliance for Automotive Innovation in April of 2020, Hilary spent nearly 8 years as Director of Technology and Innovation Policy at Toyota where she led policy development and advocacy on technology policy matters. She previously worked in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving as Staff Director of the Technology and Innovation Subcommittee and Counsel on the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology and as Legislative Director and Ways and Means Counsel for individual Members of Congress.
She holds a J.D. and a M.A. in Public Affairs from the University of Texas, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington.
