Sven Maerivoet holds a PhD degree in traffic engineering. He has expertise in traffic flow theory and transportation planning, statistical data analysis, external costs of road congestion, (cooperative) intelligent transportation systems, road user charging, connected, cooperative and automated mobility, Mobility-as-a-Service, GDPR and privacy, and is one of the creators of Telraam. He regularly coordinates/participates in international European projects, and frequently acts as reviewer for the European calls. He also sits in ITS Belgium’s Board of Directors. He is a regular reviewer for various scientific journals and conferences. Additionally, he coordinates the communications at TML.
