RUC MEA 2024

The Road User Charging Conference is the world’s longest-running independent annual gathering of global tolling, road pricing and ITS professionals. For more than two decades it has provided the premier forum for international perspectives on all forms of road user charging and the role of intelligent transport systems in funding, managing and decarbonising road networks for future generations.

As part of the global Road User Charging Conference series, the Brussels edition draws on knowledge-sharing across more than 55 countries. It brings together senior decision-makers from government, road authorities, operators, advisers and technology providers to share practical experience, test new ideas and examine what works in real schemes. Sessions explore end-to-end project lifecycles – from policy design and pilots through to nationwide roll-out – across motorways, highways and urban environments.

Delegates benefit from an international range of case studies and perspectives on road user charging and the technologies and policies shaping it. The programme covers crucial issues such as funding reform, interoperability, charging models, public acceptance, sustainability, equity, enforcement, data and emerging vehicle technologies, with a particular focus on how European reforms, Eurovignette and Fit for 55 are reshaping future investment and procurement. Keynote presentations, deep-dive case studies and interactive panel discussions are designed to maximise peer-to-peer learning, honest debate and practical takeaways you can apply to your own programmes.

Road User Charging Conference 2026 takes place on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March, at the Steigenberger Wiltcher's, Brussels. Join us to connect with the global community shaping fair, sustainable and financially resilient road funding – and position your organisation for the next wave of European road pricing projects.
